Laura and Ken | Knoxville Wedding Photographer | Bleak House

I’m posting this wedding out of order, but I wanted to feature it while it is still cold and snowy outside. Laura & Ken were married on January 30th in a gorgeous, snowy Bleak House wedding. Living in Knoxville, we have never before had the chance to shoot a wedding in the snow, and it was definitely an experience we won’t soon forget! It was a beautiful day filled with lots of love and emotion, while mother nature blanketed the setting in a layer of seamless white.

Laura & Ken chose to see each other before the ceremony, and this was their private first look!

They were both SUCH troopers with the freezing cold weather and snow! Laura is wearing open toe shoes and I’m pretty sure her feet went numb. I don’t know how she did it!

I think Laura’s look is so fitting with Bleak House. Doesn’t she look like a bride straight out of the old south? Love it!

The ceremony took place inside, just off of the main hall. It was very intimate and cozy and Laura and Ken were just beaming at each other.

Some emotional celebrating after the ceremony. This is Laura’s brother.

Laura’s family has an inside joke about these hats, which they call “Eddie Hats” (yes, Cousin Eddie from National Lampoon’s!) They made great props, and as an added bonus, kept people warm in the chilly tent! This is Ken’s step-dad, and he is a total hoot with an absolutely contagious personality. You can’t help but laugh!

Laura’s dad and brother in an impromptu performance. This was so special!!

Inside of the tent was colllld, but everyone bundled up and danced the night away to keep warm. Everyone had a blast, and the band, the Coveralls, was fantastic!

After the party was over, we hopped back outside for a few night shots.

Congratulations to you both! Thank you for having us celebrate with you!

Just a Thanks

We had a great time catching up with our friends, family, and clients on Friday!    Everyone seemed to arrive at once, so I hope we were able to make the rounds and say hello to everybody that came by.  My sister and bro-in-law snapped a few photos for us in the collage above.  My sweet mother-in-law called up Lisa Foster Design and sent over a stunning pot of orchids.  For the past year, I’ve been obsessed with orchids.  I want to fill my life with them.

Lisa & crew also sent over a gift of pink roses. They smell wonderful!  Thanks so much, guys!

Don’t Forget! Studio open house is TONIGHT!

Hey everyone!

Don’t forget to stop by and check out our new place TONIGHT on Market Square from 6-8pm!

The closest parking garage is the Market Square Garage on the corner of Walnut St. and Wall Ave, which is free after 6pm. Once you’re on the square, look for Soccer Taco (closer to the Krutch Park side) and walk right up to their front door. We weren’t able to get our sign installed on the building exterior in time for tonight, so look adjacent to Soccer Taco’s entrance and there is another glass door with our name on it. Come in, come upstairs, and we are #201. Just come right in!

Everyone is welcome! We’re looking forward to chatting with you all!
