We are Matt & Erin Browne - wedding photographers based in Knoxville, Tennessee.  On the wedding day, we specialize in emotional, candid documentation.  We crave raw emotion, stolen moments, and storytelling imagery.  We prefer to be flies on the wall, allowing you to enjoy your day as we unobtrusively photograph your day.  We complement our photojournalism with very brief, relaxed portraits.  Before the wedding, we love to get to know our clients with artistic and fun bridal and engagement portrait sessions!

Studio Rentals – New Backdrops Available!

Photographers:  Did you know that we rent out our studio 7 days a week in half or full day blocks?  Did you also know that we have a monthly share program for those needing smaller blocks of time on a more frequent basis?  Our beautiful Market Square location might be the perfect space for you!  Whether you need shooting space for newborns, toddlers, small families, boudoir, head shots, or if you just need a spot to host sales meetings or meet with prospective clients – we’ve got you covered!  Be sure to check out this post for more info about the individual rentals, and this post right here for info regarding our share program!  Give me a call at 865 323 8567 or e-mail me at erin@erinbrownephoto.com for specific pricing information, or to set up an appointment to view the studio in person.

We recently added some exciting new things, some of which will be very useful to you baby photographers out there! First, we have a large flat top bean bag, which is a very common and useful surface to use when posing newborns.

You can cover the bean bag with one of our fabrics and use it in conjunction with other props and backdrops..

Or you can use our low backdrop stand to clip blankets and fabrics and create a seamless look, while maintaining a comfy and safe place for baby!

I didn’t have a spare baby handy to use as a prop, so you’ll just have to pretend this blanket roll is an infant to get an idea of how it is used.

We have a growing selection of blankets and linens for use with the newborn bean bag and the bed.  As we receive feedback from our renters, we keep adding new options so everyone has what they need.  You’re also welcome to bring your own covers!

We also have 4 new 9′ seamless paper backdrops!  The colors of these may vary depending on your monitor, but they are pale coral, pale blue, charcoal, and mint green.  We also have seamless white, a natural brick wall, and 6 other non-seamless drape options.

Little Sweethearts Day – Valentine’s Mini Sessions!

Many of you asked, “So what about the kiddos?” when we announced our Valentine’s Day head shot event, so here you go – a day of mini sessions just for the lil’ ones!

What’s included:

$25 (per child) gets you a 15-20 minute session and a viewing of the touched up proofs in our studio the week after the event.  There is no product included with the session fee.

Who can participate?

These sessions are suitable for children and babies who can sit up unassisted.  Boys and girls are both welcome!!

How should I dress my child?

However you want!  All photos will have a seamless white backdrop, so bold colors will show up best.  Please avoid solid white or light pastel clothing.  You can choose to dress for the theme like our fabulous little model, but it’s not required!

Where is the studio?

We’re on Market Square in downtown Knoxville, on the second floor above Soccer Taco.  You will need to go under the restaurant’s yellow awning (that’s the important step!) and you’ll see a door with our name printed on it.  Just come upstairs!

Limited street parking is available around the area on Walnut, Union, and Gay, but the easiest place to park is the garage on the corner of Walnut St. and Wall Ave.  The garage is free on weekends!!

How much are prints?

Our individual prints begin at $30, and we will have special sale-priced packages available to mini session customers only.  We also have fun purchase bonuses for free that are earned based on the size of your order.

How do I sign up??

We have limited slots available, so please book your spot soon!  You can make appointments by calling 865 323 8567 during office hours (9am – 6pm) or by e-mailing me at erin@erinbrownephoto.com.  The session fee is due at the time of booking, and cancellations (with refund) are allowed until February 9th.

What does this look like?

Have a look at our sassy little model to get an idea of what you can expect!  You will need to have your child already dressed for the shoot when you arrive, and we will have a few simple props and seating available.  All photos are taken on a seamless white backdrop.

Theme Shoot: Free Valentine’s Day Head Shot In Our Studio!

Free Valentine's Day Portrait or Head Shot Photo In Our Studio

We are excited to announce our first theme shoot in the studio!  On Friday, January 20th from 6-8pm, come by our Market Square studio for a free and fun Valentine’s Day themed photo!  Everyone will receive a 2-3 minute sitting.  All photos will be uploaded online a few days after the shoot and will be available for purchase.  No obligation to buy a print unless you like your photo – just come on by and have some fun!

Everyone who purchases a print will receive a Facebook version of your photo for use as your profile pic!

This theme is a standing head-shot, so while children are welcome, they may need to be held by their parents or stand on a platform.

No appointment is needed, but we certainly appreciate an RSVP just so we have an idea of how many to expect.  Leave a comment on this blog post if you plan to come by!
