Here’s a peek at a lovely sunset engagement session at the UT Gardens last Spring! It’s all about timing when it comes to outdoor portrait sessions. We try to get things started a couple of hours before the documented sunset time so that we have lovely soft light to work with. I absolutely despise cloudy days and I’m always thankful when we have beautiful glittering evening light! When done correctly, and with the right location, we can end things up with some neat silhouette shots right before calling it a day.

I’m not always able to get this shot if the location and light isn’t right – but it’s one of my favorites when I can pull it off!

We often get requests for night portraits, and Megan & Brent definitely knew what they wanted when they requested a nighttime engagement session downtown during Christmastime!
