Mandi & Kyle’s wedding took us all the way to the western end of the state to a beautiful venue called The Pink Palace. We shot this entire wedding with contented hearts, as it included all of the ingredients for a perfect day: relaxed atmosphere, details where they count, and wonderful people. Check out this museum!

This was one of my favorite images of the day – there’s something quiet and peaceful about it.

Floral design was provided by Deedra Bergeron of www.deedrastonedesign.com, and everything was so beautiful. Mandi & Deedra worked together to create a stunning display!

We thought that driving to the other end of the state would put us ahead or behind of any weather systems, but no, the wet weather still found us! Check out the smiles on their faces despite that crazy downpour!

The special dances were held in the foyer before everyone moved into the ballroom for dinner and dancing.

I just had to share some more of the amazing details. Mandi chose to have a professional wash her ballroom in colored pink light, and each of her centerpieces were lit from within with LEDs and candles. Good lighting is so essential to transforming your reception room into something magical.

As the party wound down, we hopped outside for a minute for a night portrait or two. There was too much beautiful light around to pass it up.

Just before the exit, the DJ cleared out the ballroom so that Mandi & Kyle could have their last dance completely alone. I have never seen this done before and I think it is such a neat idea. They were surrounded by music and light, lost in their own world while Matt and I photographed using only available light from the corners of the room to disturb them as little as possible.
